The Benchmarking

Benchmarking refers to quantitative and comparable test on performance index through scientific test methods, tools and systems. Measurability, repeatability and comparability are three principles of benchmarking. Measurability means the test procedures can be achieved and test results can be shown in a quantitative way. Repeatability means the results of test procedures are not affected by time, location and performer. Comparability means the test results can clearly reflect the performance. At the early stage of development, benchmarking can verify if there is performance regression of the application. When new modules added to the software, benchmarking can tell if the new modules will affect the overall software system.

Hardware Benchmarking

Hardware benchmarking helps users to make plans for system growth and estimate the necessary hardware, network capability and the resources that you will need in the future.
