About The Client
The client has a wholly-owned technology centre in China dedicated to the research and development of information technology in global financial services. The company provides IT R&D and support to the client's global financial business. It has established application software engineering and project management standards under the global collaborative software development model. The PEG team has a profound and good cooperative relationship with it, and is a long-term partner of the client.
Project Features
As one of the world’s largest custodian banks and asset management companies, the client has a very large and complex business structure. The system is developed based on its own business requirements, with the features listed as below:
There is a main system, contains several sub systems which are not completely related to each other for some business areas. The individual system has extremely complex business logic that makes the whole system a large scale project.
The development and maintenance cycle for some individual systems is very long, and the longest one is more than ten years. Due to the developed technology of the system is not prevailing up to now, common test tools are not able to support the test.
Therefore, considering the stability and security of the system, as wells as the maintenance cost, PEG team made a decision to migrate the major business systems to a private cloud platform.

After several rounds of test executions against different environments, PEG team provided detailed reports for all system development teams and the results also showed that the performance of each system gets better after migration.
PEG team assisted the development team to identify the specific changes of the system performance indicators before and after the migration, and to position the potential performance bottlenecks of the hardware and software, system vulnerabilities and program errors, hereby to provide a reference for further optimization.
